How far has model based development spread? CAE edition

Issue 1 Asking an LMS engineer -Applying Model Based Development to Vibration and Sound Problems in Electrical Equipment-

I laid out the logic behind model based development in the series that I wrote last year, so this year I would like to report on how it is actually being used in the field. I plan on interviewing vendors who work alongside JMAG to support model based development in order to clarify what engineers in control and mechanism development think about this development method, and what they expect from us, the electrical engineers. These interviews should give me and my coworkers a chance to learn what steps to take moving forward.
Last year, we at JSOL began running vibration noise analyses on permanent magnet motors with Shibaura Institute of Technology and LMS Japan. We gave a progress report during a seminar at the JMAG Users Conference last year, and I was surprised at how many people came to attend. It made me realize that there are a great many people concerned about these problems. In this issue, we hear from Mr. Asano and Mr. Ito of LMS Japan, one of our co-researchers. They talk about various themes, including how professional vibration and sound control engineers look at model based development application in electrical equipment.

Final Issue Model-based Development Requires the Ability to Expand, Shrink, and Share the Model

This series discusses JMAG's contributions to model-based development. Issue 1 talks about the motivation behind developing "JMAG-RT" for control simulations, which have become a typical solution in model based development. In issue 2, I explained how we are approaching the model based development that we have in mind for JMAG by presenting the new functions involved with JMAG's model base, which was released last summer. Finally, in issue 3, I confirmed that multiphysics is also a solution for model based development and showed that improving the ability to share and distribute information is a necessary condition for CAE to participate in model based development.
This series has examined explanations of conventional model bases while also delving into what exactly model-based development is and what CAE technicians' tasks are. While at first I believed that I had a good understanding of MBD, over the course of this series I soon came to realize that I have much to learn.
Though this means that I may have inconvenienced my readers, it provided me with a good chance to rethink model-based development. To finish this series, I would like to study model-based development by focusing on the keywords "zoom-in/zoom-out" and "circulation."


Issue 3 Easily Joining Complicated Physical Phenomena and Contributing to Improvements in Development Efficiency

In the last issue, we introduced the development intention of JMAG-RT that is one of the solutions for model-based development, resulting outcomes or the functions added with JMAG-Designer10.5. This time, entitling the issue 3 as the model-based development that gives an explanation of "Model-based development effectively connects with multi-complicated physical phenomena to each other" and this issue introduces the scene of model-based development includes is much more wide-range and it goes beyond coupling with the control circuit.
Reading this time's description may let you rediscover the idea of model-based development.


Issue 2 Upgraded Functions for JMAG-RT

The fundamental efforts of JMAG for "model-based development (MBD)," which is starting to be applied to the development process as introduced previously, are outlined in this document. The new features of JMAG-Designer Ver.10.5, which was released on July 13th, for MBD are also introduced.

Recently, model-based design (development) is a term starting to be used in the development process. These reports discuss what model-based design is and how it is related to you in addition to how JMAG is utilized in model-based design. This report introduces the fundamental characteristics of model-based design.
